The Palos Verdes Estates Police Department will be participating in this year’s PINK PATCH PROJECT campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer treatment, research and education. Support is through the sale of commemorative pink patches or by making a donation.
During the month of October 2022, “Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” our public safety employees will be swapping out traditional department shoulder patches for Pink Shoulder Patches to be worn on their uniforms.
Wearing pink patches is intended to stimulate conversation with the community during our daily contact—and to encourage discussion with the public about the fight against breast cancer.
The Pink Patch Project is an innovative public awareness campaign designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support breast cancer research organizations in combating this devastating disease.
Pink Patches will be sold to the public for $10 each in the lobby, or you can contact Merlin David.
If you have any questions, please contact Merlin David at MDavid@pvestates.org
