Metropolitan State Hospital Police
The Metropolitan State Hospital is located in the City of Norwalk CA, In LA County. We are 1 of 5 Departments of State Hospitals in Ca assigned to house inmates who are found to be incompetent to stand trial, guilty by reason of insanity or mentally disordered offenders.
The Metropolitan State Hospital Police Dept. is responsible for providing safety and security to the facility, staff, inmates and visitors along with ensuring custody of inmates both inside the facility or while providing custody watch during any outside hospital or court service.
The officers of the Metropolitan State Hospital Police are fully sworn and appointed police officers under CA Law.
Last year was our 1st year participating in the PPP under our Police Officers Association with the previous 2 years being done by one of our dedicated officers who began the program at our dept.
Last year we raised approximately $1,700 which was donated to City of Hope to help the fight for a cure. This year we would like to beat that amount with all proceeds again going to City of Hope.
