Woodmere Police Department

The Woodmere Village Police Department is a small Village located about 15 miles northeast of Cleveland, Ohio.  Woodmere Village or as it has been dubbed “The Gateway to the Chagrin Valley”, is a small yet diverse community and home to over 600 businesses and 900 residents.  Woodmere Village was incorporated in 1945 and is about to celebrate its seventy-fifth anniversary.
In 2016, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer.  In 2018, while attending a convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I was first introduced to the Pink Patch Project.  Being so dear to my heart, I began looking at how to introduce the Pink Patch Project to my department.  With the support of the Mayor, Chief of Police and the entire department, I was able to sell pink patch keychains and donations.  100 percent of all proceeds and donations were donated to help FIND THE CURE!
In 2018, my wife was able to ring the bell as she received her final treatment and is in full remission! All the while, I have had other co-workers that have gotten a simular diagnose of breast cancer and lose their fight against cancer.   Seeing this extreme epidemic has driven me to do more.
