The Deerwood Police Department is excited to announce we will be taking part in the 2022 Pink Patch Project to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer! While 2022 was a crazy year for us as a department, adding new officers, serving our citizens, and normal duties we have also underwent a department rebrand. This included a new patch design as well as new squad car graphics! Our new patch incorporates important history as well as current landmarks in our area. Featuring our famous giant deer statue named Withington which was originally the name of the city before it was changed to Deerwood. It also features the train representing the railroad that cuts directly through the heart of Deerwood and served as a very important part in founding the city. Including our new water tower as well, this patch has a lot of meaning to this area and we look forward to being able to share that by selling our pink patch. All funds raised by this will be donated to the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Courage Cabinet to provide assistance to local residents in their fights against cancer. To purchase a patch please email pddeerwood@yahoo.com for details, the patches will be sold for $11 each and we ask that you please include return postage with your order. Thank you for your support!
