The Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) is a full-service police department (comprising a Patrol Division, Detective Bureau, and Dignitary Protection Unit) that includes police officers, detectives, civilian communication dispatchers, and support and administrative personnel. HUPD is responsible for the safety and security of more than 19,000 students, 14,000 faculty and staff members, and 700 buildings in an open and accessible environment.
This is HUPD’s first year participating in the Pink Patch Project. We connected with the Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF), which is committed to providing assistance to patients of all ages, any type of cancer, throughout New England who are struggling financially as a result of a cancer diagnosis. JAF understands that everyday living expenses are not put on hold because of a diagnosis, and JAF provides a variety of assistance to help patients make ends meet allowing them to focus on cancer recovery. We are very excited to be supporting the JAF!
