Our Community of 40,000 residents sits in the foothills of the Cascade mountain range. Because of the city’s proximity to the popular hiking trails of Tiger, Cougar, & Squak mountains. Issaquah has earned the nickname The Trailhead City.
The city frequently uses it’s most famous visitor, the Sasquatch, in the #LegendaryIssaquah marketing campaign. The Sasquatch frequently shows up, and contributes to, community events. Each year, in October, the Sasquatch also shows up on the uniform patches of Issaquah Police officers.
For the 6th consecutive year, proceeds from the sale of the patch go to the Footprints of Fight charity (www.footprintsoflight.org). The charity supports families whose children are battling cancer.
The 2023 patch is coming soon.
