The LUTHERAN EARLY RESPONSE TEAM?ÿ (LERT) is a national response team to natural and made made disasters.?ÿ In the state of Kansas there are over 300 certified members.?ÿ We are FEMA recognized and are the only FEMA approved and trained volunteer CHAIN SAW Crew in the state of Kansas.
The Northeast Kansas Squad is officed out of King of Kings Lutheran Church in Gardner KS.?ÿ Gardner is approximately 30 miles south of Kansas City – Gardner has a population of approximately 20,000.
2021 will be the first year that LERT is participating in the Pink Patch Project.
We have dedicated that this year’s fundraising will be used to assist local families who are battling any form of cancer.
