The Marengo Fraternal Order of Police and the Marengo Police Department are joining the Pink Patch Project again in 2023. Officers will be wearing the pink patches and badges to help raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection and treatment.
This innovative public awareness campaign will generate conversation and garner support for our pink warriors out there. All proceeds from the sale of the patches will be donated to a local organization that supports those battling cancer.
In addition to the pink patches, we partner with the Marengo Fire & Rescue Districts to sell a yearly shirt. Proceeds from the shirt money also go to Pink Heals. Since our partnership in 2017, we have raised over $15,000 for Pink Heals.
During the month of October, we will be selling these limited-edition pink patches to the public at a cost of $10.00 per patch. Patches can be purchased at the police station. Patches can also be purchased by mailing $10.00, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope for return mail, or $11 if no stamped envelope is provided, directly to:
