The Quincy Police Department is one of Boston’s immediate southern suburbs. The department provides law enforcement services for a population of roughly 100,000 making it the eighth largest city in the state of Massachusetts. Known as the City of Presidents, Quincy is the birthplace of two U.S. presidents – John Adams and his son John Quincy Adams – as well as John Hancock, a President of the Continental Congress and the first signer of the Declaration of Independence. The Quincy Police Department was one of the first agencies in Massachusetts to join the Pink Patch Project and has raised over $25,000 which has been donated to various non-profit organizations that assist in cancer treatment, research, and/or education.
