October 1 – 31, 2023 Officers from the Robbinsdale Police Department have the option of wearing pink patches in place of their regular shoulder patches. This change is part of a national movement supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
These special patches were designed and paid for by the Robbinsdale Police Officer Association. Officers are allowed to purchase them and have them put on their uniforms for the month of October.
Chief Foley stated, “I am proud of our officers for taking a part of this project. Breast cancer has impacted the lives of several members of our team by the diagnosis of the disease in themselves or their loved ones. It is our hopes that, by wearing these patches, we can create a public awareness and stimulate conversations around this disease.”
The public may purchase these patches at the Robbinsdale Police Department to support the efforts. All proceeds will go to increase the awareness about breast cancer fight against the disease.
Pink shoulder patches are $10.00 a patch.
In person purchases can be made at the Robbinsdale Police Department, October 1 – 31, 2023, Mondays-Fridays, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thank you for your support.
