The Wellesley Police Department is proud to participate in the Pink Patch Project. The police department will be selling a limited edition Pink Patch which showcases the Town of Wellesley seal in pink.

Donations will be made to The Julie Fund for Womenƒ??s Cancers. The Julie Fund was started in 2004 when Julie McAvinn, a Wellesley resident, died from ovarian cancer. ?ÿJulie was 40 years old and the mother of 3 children when her life was cut short. ?ÿThis fund is used for womenƒ??s cancer research, patient and family support, and educational programs in order to raise awareness of the symptoms and treatments for all types of womenƒ??s cancer.

Officers will be participating in the event by wearing a pink pin and have the option of wearing the pink patches on their uniform during October.?ÿ
